Here’s the deal. Don’t get lost in the technical aspects of Krav Maga. What I mean is, the counterattack is king – it’s what saves your life by scrambling the intention of your attacker.

Until you master this understanding as the foundational issue of self-defense, you’re wasting your time on technical ideas/concepts (notice I wrote “the” and not “a” foundation). There are a myriad of reasons why this is the case. But in the end, where action meets action, it’s the “what” (counters) you do that matters far more than the “how” (technical aspects) you’re doing it.
