ISIS Has Developed A Paradigm For Pricing And Selling Sex Slaves

ISIS publishes price list for sex slaves

United Nations officials have authenticated a price list for the selling of sex slaves by ISIS. According to a translated version of the document, the list, entitled “In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Subject/Prices of Selling the Spoils of War” offers Christian and Yazidi girls as young as one year old to their Muslim brothers.

When the prices are converted from Iraqi dinars to U.S. Dollars, they reveal the following:

Prices Merchandise
$169.21………………………. Yazidi or Christian, all children, aged 1 to 9 years
$126.91………………………. A Yazidi or Christian woman, aged 10 to 20
$84.60………………………… A Yazidi or Christian woman, aged 20 to 30
$63.45………………………… A Yazidi or Christian woman, aged 30 to 40
$42.30………………………… A Yazidi or Christian woman, aged 40 to 50

Regulations accompany the price list as well:

“[The] Committee of Treasury considered setting regulations and prices with regards to selling women and spoils of war. And it makes it compulsory that those who practice this business should abide by these prices. Otherwise, whoever violates the price controls will be executed…

It is not allowed for any customer to purchase more than 3 spoils, except for foreigners like Turks, Syrians, and Gulf Arabs.”

In August, international media outlets reported that ISIS had developed a detailed bureaucracy for sex slavery, including sales contracts notarized by ISIS-run courts. According to Yazidi community officials, ISIS has captured and enslaved as many as 5,838 Yezidis in the past 16 months.

An excerpt from the most recent version of the U.S. Department of State Trafficking in Persons Report reveals, “In December 2014, Da’esh [ISIS] publicly released guidelines on how to capture, forcibly hold, and sexually abuse female slaves. In April 2015, an international organization reported the system of organized sexual slavery and forced marriage—which can lead to commercial sexual exploitation and forced labor—by Da’esh [ISIS] militants is a central element of the terrorist group’s ideology.”

According to the State Department, the majority of Christian and Yezidi sex slaves have been abducted in Iraq and subsequently sold in Syria, however intelligences sources reveal sex slave market days are occurring more frequently in ISIS controlled territory in Iraq.

Note:
Abu Bakar al-Bagdadi, a Sunni muslim and the elected caliph of ISIS, holds a doctorate in Quranic studies from the University of Bagdad. A $10 million bounty for his capture or death remains in effect.
