Proper Joint Locking Flow / Drills Can Substantially Increase the Quality of Your Weapons Defenses.
I spent some time this weekend talking with students about my joint lock flow drill, its purpose, and the connection to Krav Maga training/defenses.
Specifically, the joint lock flow drill was designed to allow students to become more familiar with the joint locks the Krav Maga system utilizes – primarily in weapons defenses. The flow drill also provides a format for more repetition over shorter periods of time. Finally, the joint lock flow drill helps to better familiarize students with the joint locking movements that need to be made during weapons takes (and retention).
In the video below, I’m talking through my approach to cavaliers (wrist locks) and the connection between this portion of the drill and the cavalier. Check it out and train smart!
