Optimize Your arm Movement to Sharpen Your Defenses.
Often times, students confuse the role of the upper arm (shoulder to elbow) and the lower arm (elbow to hand) play in moving to make defenses such as an inside defense, 360 defense, and/or outside defense.
All to often, students reach further than is optimal with the lower arm, causing a myriad of potential problems (depending upon what defense we focus upon).
In the video below, I attempt to explain the issues and the proper way to defend. This process is safer and stronger than other methods (and will serve you well if you can master the movement). Please check out the video, and as always, walk in peace.
