To Speed Your Krav Maga To New Levels, Learn To Slow Way Down.
The benefits of slowing down your training (and I mean slowing way down) are apparent once the student attempts his/her first 60-second defense.
Moving very slowly allows the student to think not only about what is happening but what is next – syncing movements and maintaining rhythm. Mistakes with weight transfer, structure, platforms, and/or timing are exaggerated within the long cycle of 60 seconds, allowing the student to make adjustments as he/she moves.
The video below details the concept. Try this process the next time your train as part of a warm up prior to regular speed training. I’ll bet your performance increases markedly.
