Want to defend a knife attack effectively? Start with the elbow.

I’ve recently been highlighting the role an elbow plays as a reference in several knife (edged weapons) defenses.

The truth is, the elbow plays a critical role in successfully completing many of these defenses. In the video below, I outline the issues, illustrate the proper movement, and adapt the movement concept to three different knife attacks.

Add the “elbow concept” to your training, and your success will grow! As always, walk in peace.

This refines and deepens my understanding of a correct (read: effective) knife defense. The “elbow concept” is pure gold. Thank you for the excellent segment.
