I set out below to do a quick video on how I approach knife takeaways – hitting the most salient points and productive ideas.

In short, a knife takeaway utilizes one of Krav Maga’s cavaliers to open the attacker’s fingers wrapped around the knife. A clean “take” also employs the tactical use of opposing pressure, as well as, a stripping movement (often confused with other motions).
